Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) - is designed to rapidly and accurately determine if a patient is able to work, and if so, work at what physical level. St. Luke’s Physical Therapy uses the widely accepted KEY Method to measure and quantify worker capability.
When to do an FCE:
- Before rehab to determine rehab needs
- After rehab to determine a safe return to work
- To complete a disability determination and define an individual’s employability
- Independent medical evaluations
The KEY Method at St. Luke’s Physical Therapy includes
the following functional capacity assessments:
- Functional Whole Body
- Upper Extremity Whole Body
- Job-specific
- Functional Review
- Job Placement
